FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT AS A TOOL TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF INQUIRY SKILLS IN SCIENCE EDUCATION

Formative assessment (FA) is considered a powerful tool to enhance learning. However, there have been few studies addressing how the implementation of FA influences development inquiry skills so far. This research intends determine efficacy teaching using in students’ skills. A test was used as main instrument identify level selected before and after period with or without experimental control group respectively. In (n=73), implemented across five subjects: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, informatics, while (n=48) taught any external intervention. both groups, mostly teacher-centred methods were applied. The findings confirmed low initial Teaching showed higher than FA, even special focus on methods. achieved significantly better results compared group. addition, lower performing students.
